This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of faculty members’ use of multimedia in university education from the perspective of students at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait. The researchers employed the descriptive survey method and developed a questionnaire to measure the effectiveness of faculty members’ use of multimedia by exploring students’ views in light of several variables: gender, academic level, and academic achievement. The questionnaire consisted of 35 items, and its validity and reliability were verified, with
acceptable values for the purposes of the study after being reviewed by experts.
The study sample consisted of 395 male and female students at the College of Basic Education, selected using a random sampling method. The results indicated that the effectiveness of faculty members’ use of multimedia in university education, from the students’ perspective, had an overall mean score of 3.18. The findings also revealed statistically significant differences attributed to gender, in favor of female students, and to academic level, in favor of third- and fourth-year students. Furthermore, there were apparent variations in the means and standard deviations of the perceived effectiveness of faculty members’ use of multimedia due to differences in students’ academic achievement levels. However, one-way ANOVA results showed no statistically significant differences attributed to academic achievement.
